I ONCE worked at a newspaper where a member of staff was called to the MD's office one day.
As the boss talked to the journalist he slowly started taking off all his clothes. The reporter was mortified.
Luckily it was entirely innocent as the MD was running late for a squash match and decided to do a quick change at work.
It's moments like this that make up daily life in any office. And that's why BBC2's The Office is so brilliant.
Ricky Gervais as David Brent captures little quirks and sayings we see in people all day long.
Especially some of the cheesier lines like last night's: "Basically I'm a chilled out entertainer".
Top class stuff. Just wish I'd have thought of it all those years ago when the MD did a strip.
CORONATION Street's Peter Barlow missed a vital sex tip on a sign when he sneaked through a gate to have it away with a florist. "All deliveries at front entrance".
SO it's goodbye Hear'Say. But I'm begging ITV2 not to screen Hear'Say The Split Live and Uncut.
CHANNEL 5 used to be slammed for screening soft porn after midnight. Now it shows repeats of Live With Chris Moyles. That really is tacky.
