HARVEST Festival services will be held in St Silas's Church, Preston New Road, Blackburn, on Sunday.
Children are invited to bring harvest gifts to the family and parade service at 10.30am. Gifts of non-perishable food and treats of sweets and chocolate bars have been requested by the church this year.
A Harvest Festival evensong will be held at 6pm and the preacher will be the Rev Kevin Arkell, Area Dean for Blackburn with Darwen. Food parcels will be distributed to people in retirement homes, children in hospital, Salvation Army and Father Jim McCartney.
Church members are reminded that help will be needed to pack and distribute the harvest on Monday.
