Clarets striker Gareth Taylor has kept his place in the Wales squad for the crunch European Championship qualifier against Italy at the Millennium Stadium on October 16.
"It promises to be a brilliant occasion and I am just glad to be involved," he said.
The one match ban he picked up when he collected his fifth booking of the season means he will miss Burnley's clash with Walsall at Turf Moor four days before that game.
He will therefore be able to join up with Mark Hughes's squad at the same time as Premiership players like Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy.
Top flight games have been cancelled on October 12 because of England's game in Slovakia.
Taylor has been in all of the recent international squads during a run of just one defeat in seven games that has seen Wales at last start to climb the world rankings.
There was not such good news for Clarets boss Stan Ternent who narrowly missed out on the Nationwide manager of the month award today when he was pipped by Leicester City's Micky Adams.
Despite Ternent's team being unbeaten throughout September, Adams got the nod for gaining a couple more points from the five League games played.
Meanwhile French midfielder Eddie Fal remains on trial at Turf Moor having done well last week.
He was in the crowd against Wimbledon at the weekend and has been given a little longer to try and earn himself a contract.
