NEW licensees have taken over at the popular Borough Arms in Blackburn.
With 16 years experience in the trade Mike and Christine Butterfield have moved from the Abbey in Accrington.
Although the pub is renowned for its hectic Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights where a late licence operates, Mike said it was also a popular venue for lunchtime diners.
He said: "We serve good homecooked food and are very popular with professionals and shoppers. The pub has two faces really -- during the day when it's more sedate with people dining out and then in the evening when it's renowned for being really lively.
"We happy to have moved here, it's a big pub with lots of potential."
