A DECISION will be made tomorrow over the future of the former St Thomas's Primary School in Barrowford.
Plans for the building, which was vacated this summer, include its conversion in to three houses with the formation of a new access.
The school, in Church Street, is in a Conservation Area and is of 19th century architectural style.
Red Group plc, the applicants, have confirmed that no changes are proposed for the frontage of the building and an amendment to the car park access has been submitted to improve visibility for residents entering Church Street from the building, following concerns by the parish council.
Children from the church-aided St Thomas's Primary had their last lessons in the 150-year-old school before the summer holidays and finally moved in to the new building last week, after further drainage works were carried out.
More than 120 children and five teachers moved out after the building was deemed too small and unsuitable for their needs.
Plans for the old school have been recommended for approval by planning officers at Pendle Council and the item will be discussed at this week's meeting of the Barrowford and Western Parishes Committee.
