BLACKBURN made hard work of their UEFA Cup second leg after going 3-0 up CSKA blasted back with three goals, but Rovers go through on away goals.
A three goal blast from CSKA Sofia had brought them back into the game, they needed another goal to go through.
Two goals in five minutes had given a glimmer of hope to the Bulgarians, then a penalty in the last two minutes of the game made Rovers sweat.
Rovers had swept into a 3-0 lead following a two goal blast early in the second half by Rovers.
Egil Ostenstad swept home from a few yards out after a sweeping move through the heart of the Sofia defence by Tugay and Cole.
And then a minute later Duff smashed home a shot into the far corner past the CSKA keeper to put Rovers in dreamland.
At half-time Rovers were 1-0 up over CSKA Sofia after David Thompson blasted home a shot from 35 yards out.
Minutes before he had glanced the Sofia post with a free-kick.
