THE headmaster of a school in Burnley praised his pupils at an annual prize giving evening.
In the speech about St Theodore's RC High School, the school's headmaster Mr John Tat lauded all his pupils saying most of whom gained very good or excellent GCSE results.
He said: "The school is expanding and growing both in size and in curriculum and extra curricular provision.
"The Governors judicious management of the school finances in recent years has balanced the school budget allowing increased resources to departments, increased staffing in both the main school and sixth form which has positively affected the progress of pupils in the school."
The school has a lot to be proud of, the percentage of highest A* and A grades has improved from 11.6 percent to 14.1 percent of all passes and 50 percent of all pupils at the school gained five or more A* - C grades.
