THE Scorpions were without six players from the team that defeated Haydock the week before.
The disruption was evident as Spring View went 8-0 ahead with two converted tries.
The Scorpions hit back when good interpassing near their opponents line ended with Dave Tanner sprinting over. The Wigan side then scored another try; Daron Green forcing his way over.
A soft try by Spring View give them a 16-8 lead at half-time.
After the break the Scorpions felt that the game was there to be won but from the kick off Spring View went the length of the field to score.
Simon Pritchard was unlucky not to score and then Tim Burns went on a rampaging run and carried three defenders over the line with him as he scored under the posts giving Chris Pearson an easy conversion to make the score 22-14.
But once again they allowed Spring View to score another soft try. The Scorpions came storming back with Pearson making it 28-8.
In the last five minutes the Wigan side ran in two more tries.
