BLACKPOOL Council is reviewing its eight-year-old policy over sex shops.
At present, two sex shops in Church Street and Lytham Road are granted licences to operate in the town centre area, but an application to open a third shop in Foxhall Square has triggered a review of the council's policy.
"The public protection committee has deferred a decision and asked officers to review the current polcy," said a council spokesman.
"There are a number of shops which have opened which sell similar material and this will form part of the review."
The report is due to be discussed by the committee at its next meeting.
