A SCHOOL with a top reputation for dealing with children with special needs got a boost to its facilities this week.
Highfurlong School in Blackpool Old Road saw the opening of a toy library and a sensory garden funded by Blackpool Council, local fund raisers and the Ronald McDonald charity.
Highfurlong School has a national reputation for its work. Earlier this year it was cited in government guidelines for best practice in its curriculum.
The sensory garden is the first part of an adventure play-ground for the school.
School governor Jean Ford said, "We are extremely grateful for the donations received from the people of Blackpool and charities. The pupils, school and local community will benefit enormously."
