IT is not just Clarets boss Stan Ternent who has to wait to name his side for tomorrow's clash with Sheffield Wednesday.

Opposite number Terry Yorath was surveying his squad today before deciding on his side although it looks certain that he will stick with the 4-4-2 formation that started against Leicester City in the Worthington Cup on Wednesday night.

A number of ill fated attempts at playing with three at the back saw the Owls get off to almost as bad a start as the Clarets.

And even though they have picked up after a haul of just one point from their first four games they have still only recorded one win all season, at least satisfying their supporters with a home win in the first Sheffield derby of the season.

Wednesday have in fact lost just one of their last seven first division games but a string of draws has left them third from bottom and three points adrift of the Clarets.

Their cause has not been helped by the shoulder injury suffered by skipper David Burrows as they went out of the Worthington Cup the other night. Summer signing from Plymouth John Beswetherick is not thought to be ready to take his place at left back so Derek Geary could fill in.

On the other flank Ian Hendon is coming back from injury and might replace Ashley Westwood at right back but the centre half pairing of Leigh Bromby and Danny Maddix looks settled.

The high wages earned by Gerald Sibon have been a problem for the club, as has where best to play him. He shone for an hour on the left flank against Leicester and it is possible Yorath will persevere with him in that role.

Leon Knight, the young striker who is on loan from Chelsea for the whole season has been playing on the right side of midfield with Craig Armstrong and Alan Quinn in the middle.

Lloyd Owusu, who joined from Brentford this summer, has struggled following a couple of knee operations but is set to start alongside Shefki Kuqi.
