A POLICE operation launched in Darwen yesterday resulted in two juveniles being charged for various offences.
Operation Eradicate aims to crack down and reduce the numbers of burglaries and vehicle crimes in the town.
It is expected to last a month although it may go on longer if successful.
Two 17-year-old males were due to appear before Blackburn magistrates today charged with burglary and aggravated vehicle-taking, respectively.
A woman was also arrested and released on police bail.
A Darwen police spokesman said: "This sends out the message that these sorts of crime will not be tolerated.
"Offenders will be targeted and dealt with accordingly."
