AN evening nursing service will celebrate its 21st anniversary by having a reunion of workers past and present.
The Blackburn with Darwen Twilight Nursing Service was set up in the Montague Health Centre in 1981 so patients could be cared for in their own homes beyond normal working hours. Sister Liz McCrae is organising the get-together at Blackburn Golf Club, Beardwood Brow, Revidge, on Friday next at 8pm.
Twentyone years after its launch, Twilight nurses still care for poorly patients in their own homes between 7pm and 11pm . They provide an all-year round evening nursing service to complement existing care given during daytime hours.
Contact Pat Yates (01254 673677), Liz McCrae (01254 57879) or Celia Duerden (01254 674658) for tickets.
