WORKS of art will fill Colne Municipal Hall next week as the 19th Pendle in Paint event gets underway.
Organised by Pendle Leisure Trust, the exhibition of local art and crafts will showcase examples of art from amateur and semi-professional artists throughout the local area. It will run from Thursday to Sunday and members of the public will be able to vote for their favourite paintings.
There will be also a demonstration of pen and ink drawing, between 2pm and 6pm, on Thursday and oil painting, between 1pm and 4pm, on Friday.
A group of 11 to 18-year-olds from the arts access week held at Nelson Civic Theatre during the summer will hold a MAD Presentation (Music, Art and Drama) on Saturday, between 11 and 11.30am.
The last day of the exhibition will feature the four piece folk band Moon and Castle and demonstrations of oil painting and picture framing.
Anyone wanting to submit a painting can still do so tomorrow, between 10am and 2pm, at the municipal hall.
