MINUTE by minute match action from this afternoon's premiership match against Spurs at Ewood Park.

Today's referee, Andy D'urso gets the game underway with Spurs kicking off.

3:01 Barely a minute gone and Duff looks like he's going to cause plenty of problems for the Spurs defence.

Spurs on the attack and they win a free kick 25 yards out, Sheringham takes but it's deflected of the wall for a Spurs corner - which comes to nothing.

3:02 2 mins gone and Spurs are looking for Worthington Cup revenge.

Friedel is forced into the first save of the match when a back pass is a bit short - but he takes it comfortably.

3:05 5 mins gone and Spurs take the lead - Robbie Keane is allowed to run at the Rovers defence and his subsequent shot is unstopable.

Spurs have the run the ball and get another free kick 25 yards out - this time its just wide of the post.

3:10 10 mins gone 1-0 to Spurs and if Rovers continue playing as they are it will definitly be more.

3:12 Rovers push forward and force a corner, but it's easliy dealt with and Spurs break - Thompson makes a crucial challenge on Davies.

Duff and Dunn team up nicely and Dunn is only denied getting his shot away by a toe of the Spurs defence.

3:15 Quarter of an hour gone and Rovers are pushing so hard for the equaliser, Friedel is the only player in their half.

3:20 Rovers are trying to calm things done on the 20 minute mark with the play, all be it under their control, but somehow not managing to pass the halfway line.

Rovers make the final push and Thompson gets a cross in but it's a bit to high for Cole and he only manages to head it on.

3:24 After a number of promising runs - all ended by unpunished Spurs tackles - Spurs themselves break and Sheringham is only denied getting his shot away by Neill.

3:27 Yet again a Rovers player is fouled, this time Cole, and again Spurs are allowed to take the advantage.

3:30 Half an hour gone and the game has settled down with Rovers possibly having the more chances on paper - but with Spurs leading 1-0

Rovers get a corner as another Thompson special is somehow deflected wide. After a rather poor corner Duff gets the ball, beats three but just lifts his head at the end to shoot over.

3:35 At last Rovers are awarded a free kick, but it's deep in their half. Spurs have it and a long ball is played over the top to Keane - he's miles offside but it's not given, Rovers are saved by a good tackle by Neill.

3:37 Tugay is on the ball but he slips and is kicked in the head, play is allowed to continue and Spurs nearly score - it would appear Rovers are playing agaisnt 12 men today.

Berg tackles the Teddy bear and gets a yellow card as a result.

3:40 Five minutes to go and Rovers are weathering a bit of a storm - they will have to be careful not go in another goal down.

Robbie Keane seesm to have the ball stuck to his feet, either that or the Rovers defence have forgotten their job description - it takes Thompson to track back and make the challenge.

3:45 With only stoppage time to play Duff gets the ball and plays it off to Dunn, he inturn skips over the two Spurs defenders to cross to the back post. Flitcroft rises to it and heads it back, the keeper is beaten and Cole has the easiest of tap-ins.

But it's disallowed and the half time whistle goes, at the break it's Rovers 0 - Spurs 1

4:00 The teams come out for the second half with Rovers making a double substitution. Gillespie and Ostenstad replace Cole and Berg

Rovers start the more positive and are nearly rewarded when Ostenstad only just misses a heading in a perfect cross.

4:07 Spurs start their first attack of the half but it's soon stopped and Rovers break again - this time Duff is fouled inches from the ref, who awards the free kick instead of letting Rover.

4:10 Robbie Keane makes an excellent break and only has the keeper to beat, but friedel is up to the challenge and makes an excellent save.

Again Spurs manage to beat Rovers offside trap - but did they, it seems from up here that the ref and his assistants need to go back to ref school.

4:15 Quarter of an hour gone in the second half and Rovers certainly deserve to equalise.

And they do thanks to a thunderous strike from Ostenstad. Rovers 1 - Spurs 1

4:16 Ostenstad nearly pulls off the same shot a minute later, but this time he was a bit further out and it lost power.

Again the bear goes down like he's lost his stuffing

4:20 20 mins gone and Rovers have been on top this half and especially the last 5 minutes - with them looking more likely to take the lead.

Again Keane is allowed to run throw the Rovers defence - who get in muddle, Keane shoots and Friedel makes another remarkable save to keep the scores level.

4:25 Dunn has pulled something and goes off to be replaced by Grabbi.

Spurs also make a change with Perry and Iverson coming on Taricco and Acimovic.

4:27 Keane makes another run but this time the Rovers defence is awake to stop the danager. Rovers counter and Duff lays the ball off to Ostenstad but its too strong and Perry gets it back to Keller.

4:30 30 mins gone Rovers 1 - Spurs 1. Grabbi has had to excellent chances, one stopped by a good peice of defending, the other just had too much curl and swung wide of the post.

Friedel again comes to the rescue pulling off two good saves to keep Rovers in the match

4:35 10 mins to go and it's all square in both score and play, either side could grab a late winner - it should be Rovers but the ref seems to have other plans.

Rovers free kick after Thompson is fouled on the halfway line - it's played long but straight to Keller.

4:40 Yet more Homer decisions by the ref stop Rovers in their tracks. Thompson trys one from 30 yards but it's wide.

In the final minutes of the games both sides are pushing for the winner.

4:45 With two minutes of added Spurs take the fight to Rovers. After a goal both scramble Redknapp scores a fluke of a goal to give Spurs the three points - again the ref seemed to forget the rules of the gam.

4:47 The ref blows his whistle and it's all over, Rovers will be disappointed to not take a point from this game of two clear and different halfs.
