ROVERS fans may have to wait a little bit longer before getting the chance to see Matt Jansen make his long-awaited return from injury.
The word around Ewood yesterday was that Jansen was set to make his eagerly anticipated come-back in tomorrow night's reserve game against Manchester United at Morecambe's Christie Park.
But Rovers boss Graeme Souness has decided to hold back the 24-year-old for another week as he recovers from the head injury he sustained in a motorbike accident during the summer.
"Matt won't be involved tomorrow," said Souness today.
"He's due back from holiday today and he should be back in full training tomorrow but it's still a little bit early for him to go straight back into action."
Jansen - who has not kicked a ball in anger all season -- may now be eased back in action in a specially arranged behind-closed-doors game next week.
But Souness remains hopeful his leading scorer from the last two seasons could be ready to make a first team return maybe later this month.
