WORRIED residents have raised a protest petition over Hapton Environment Group's plans for a car park at the entrance to the improved village recreation ground.
The parish council has no objections but residents on nearby Carter Avenue are organising a petition because they fear extra cars will use their street.
Pendle Community Housing tenant Tony Brankin will put fellow Carter Street residents' views to tomorrow's parish council meeting.
The council originally agreed to the car park plan as it felt it would save Carter Avenue from being 'double parked' even more than it is presently.
