RICHARD CRESSWELL was hoping to return to action today in training following Saturday's horror challenge at Valley Parade.
The Preston hitman was stretchered off at full time after apparently being bundled into the hoardings by Gus Uhlenbeek.
He appeared to be out cold and was taken to hospital after the game where he had eight stitched to the inside of his mouth.
He was also complaining of a sore neck.
Today, he said: "I should be back training in a couple of days, I just have to make sure I don't get a kick in the mouth.
"I was out for about 30 seconds, but I was awake when they took me to hospital.
"I have watched the video and it showed I was clearly pushed into the wall."
