MARK Westhead returns to Leigh RMI as a Stevenage Borough player on Saturday with his former team-mates keen to show him just what he's missing.

The former Wycombe Wanderers shot-stopper traded Leigh for Broadhall Way in the summer and after having an embarrassment of riches with the gloves last season, Steve Waywell would like to break the bank to have his old keeper back.

His only man between the posts this season, Stuart Coburn, has proved a revelation, but he finished the midweek defeat to Hereford with a heavy limp after suffering a recurrence of an ankle injury sustained in a pre-season friendly.

He should be passed fit to take on the Hertfordshire side but Andy Heald will miss the game after being diagnosed with metatarsal damage.

Gerry Harrison is a week away from full fitness so he will also miss the must-win game for RMI as they aim to bounce back from the abysmal performance in midweek that increased their run of games without a win to six.

And they could not come up against a more unpredictable side than Stevenage.

Wayne Turner's men were quite brilliant in last season's FA Trophy run that only saw them beaten by Yeovil at the final hurdle but suffered an indifferent run of league results that saw them buried away in the bottom half of the table.

With a second string side out for their last meeting with the Railwaymen in April, RMI edged their first ever win over Borough through a late Marcus Hallows goal, but the game threatened to boil over in stoppage time as an x-rated challenge from Sam McMahon on Dave Ridings culminated in one brawl and three red cards.

However, Leigh boss Waywell says he doesn't expect the same when the two sides meet again on Saturday: "Stevenage are a good club, an honest club and certainly not a vindictive one so I am looking forward to a good game with plenty of good football.

They are a big club with big expectations but they are not living up to them at the moment so they will be well motivated for the game and we will have to match that."
