THE Mayor of Burnley was given an insight into the changing face of Burnley as he cast his eye over entrants of a photographic competition this week.
Councillor Gordon Birtwistle got the chance to view the winners of the competition organised by Burnley Borough.
The winner of the age 12 to 16 category were the students of the Able and Talented Summer School at St Hilda's High School, Burnley with a photographic montage of town centre images. The winner of the age 17 and over category was Bob Rawlinson of Burnley with an interior shot of Burnley's new bus station.
The competition was designed to highlight the benefits SRB funding has brought to the town in recent years. Helen Parnell SRB manger said: "Burnley has changed dramatically over the years and the photograph competition has meant that we not only have a record of those changes but also an idea how local people see and appreciate them."
