HOW to make your web work! That's the guidance for members of the thriving Bury Business Network at its latest meeting at the town's Bolholt Country Park Hotel.
Gordon Jones from Gregory-Jones Marketing & Communications, gave the first of his two-part presentation "Marketing Over the Web" at the meeting. The second presentation will take place on October 29.
It will cover: developing a promotional strategy, banner advertising, e-mail marketing and market research benefits. At the latest meeting Nigel Billings and a colleague from Hand-On Computer Solutions Ltd, which is Sage Advisor of the Year, gave a short but detailed presentation of Sage, particularly relating to accounting for small businesses.
Andy Walkden, Bury Council's new Homeworking Officer who has set up a successful business from home, gave "tell as it is" presentation on the pitfalls and opportunities which new entrepreneurs come across in the first year of trading.
Bury Business Network's next meeting on October 29 will begin at 6pm. LEXMARK printers will deliver a presentation addressing the issues facing small businesses from a printing perspective.
