COLNE will be looking to gain revenge on their NWCL second division rivals Great Harwood when the two teams meet at Holt House tomorrow.
Harwood came back from two goals down to win 4-2 against the John Lister's side last month and they get an early chance to rectify the result tomorrow.
But Harwood manager John Hughes, whose team lie seventh in the league, is confident his side is better now than it was then.
"Neil Kennedy got a second game back from injury on Monday night and with him in there the defence looks stronger than ever," he said.
"He adds that bit of strength. He was captain last year and he sets a great example.
"We missed that and it was a big bonus to see him back in the side.
"But we don't take anyone for granted. They were beating us 2-0 at half-time and it took us till then to roll our socks up and get in there to prove we are there to take points off teams like Colne.
"We have still got two games in hand on the top club and it is alright saying that, we have to go out and get the points, but we are feeling more confident."
Hughes has signed Wayne Taylor, who has been playing in the local leagues, as a stand-in replacement for Ryan Parr when he has to miss games through work commitments.
"Wayne has signed to play in midweek when we need him."
Hughes said many players have been on the phone to him in the past few weeks saying they want to come to the club.
"They can see we are progressing as a club," he said. "I tried to get players here last year and struggled.
"But Dave Sharples is helping me out and he has been outstanding. He will bring the kids through and they respect his experience."
Colne manager John Lister says his side has completely changed since the 4-2 defeat last month.
He has brought in Bernard Morley from Stand, Graham Gore (ex-Bamber Bridge), Sam Hayes (Accrington Stanley) and Tom Haworth, who is currently on a three-month trial with Conference side Halifax.
He can play for Colne, who are 11th in the table, when not needed for the Yorkshire side.
Lister said: "Great Harwood have been playing well and we haven't been playing too well.
"I have been having defensive problems but I have brought in three players at the back.
"But winning breeds confidence so they'll probably be the favourites.
But we need to start picking up points soon or we'll have dropped too far behind."
