ONE company hoping to build firm foundations with the Asian Business Federation is Brick technology.
A full service interactive agency, it provides website design and web development for a whole range of clients, from a snooker hall in Blackburn, to a hotel in New York.
The business, established in 1996, operates from Darwen Street, Blackburn and has associate offices all around the globe, including Calcutta.
Next month its Instant products will be available in Hindi as well as seven other languages, including Polish and Russian. The company became a member of the ABF just two months ago, because belonging to the UK on-line for business partnership, it understands the real need for networking.
And it was also one of those taking part in a special federation-organised exhibition at Jan's conference centre, recently, which was described by director Colin Clarke as a "brilliant" experience.
He believes membership is a step forward in producing a buoyant marketplace and a way to make new friends.
"We joined the federation in order to network with businesses in East Lancashire and be able to deliver DTI information on how they can get on-line."
Brick understands that web sites only work with an effective combination of content, design and functionality.
And to promote that judgment, it also works with Blackburn College, placing young computer talent with a particular business, to encourage a better understanding of its web-site needs.
