CHILDREN from Europe were due to fly home yesterday after spending a fun-packed week in East Lancashire staying with Blackburn families.
The eight children from Estonia and Finland made friends with children at Griffin School, Blackburn, and tried their hand at a number of sporting activities.
They flew over with some of their teachers as part of an educational exchange project supported by the European Union.
The project was designed to give children the experience of other countries. This visit will be returned by the pupils of Griffin School when they will visit the foreign children's own schools.
