A LOT has been said about people's cruelty to animals and other creatures, but there is also a lot of kindness.
I regularly take my dog for a walk in Queen's Park, Blackburn and a lame goose can often be found either on or near one of the ponds.
I always look out for it, hoping it is managing to survive as it has a pronounced limp, which must be a handicap to its survival.
People often take bread for the geese and ducks which can be found at the pond. To my surprise, I found they also look out for the lame goose so they can feed it.
"Where's the lame goose? Oh, there it is!" someone exclaimed.
And they made sure it didn't miss out on it's share of the food.
Too often, kind acts go unseen and don't get mentioned.
