THE site managers of a plush housing development in Ribble Valley have come out tops in a national award scheme.
Ken Kenny, Peter Woodward and Jim McNab have won the Northern heat of the Pride in the Job Awards 2002 for the construction of Calderstones Park in Whalley.
The awards, run by the National House-Building Council, recognise the vital role played by site managers in house development.
Calderstones Park was developed by Wimpey, where a spokesman today said the trio were delighted with the accolade. "With more than 17,000 site managers hoping to win, the competition for this award is intense.
"Our consistently high standards have been recognised and rewarded, and we are delighted," George Wimpey sales and marketing director Doreen O'Brien said.
The trio now go through to the national stage of the competition in London in December and the chance to win a UK Supreme Award.
