A 39-YEAR-OLD woman has been released on police bail after being questioned over the weekend by detectives investigating an incident in which a man received stab wounds.
Police and paramedics attended a house in Rothesay Road, Blackburn, at 1am on Saturday and found a 34-year-old man with a puncture wound to his chest.
He was treated at the scene and taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary, where his condition is described as stable.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of assault.
Police say a small kitchen-type knife was recovered from the house.
