THE Countryside Alliance's march in London on September 22, under the vague and misleading title of 'Liberty and Livelihood,' has a list of aims is so wide-ranging that virtually anyone can attend, including opponents of bloodsports.
In contrast, the League Against Cruel Sports have always been totally open about its aims: namely, that hunting wild mammals with dogs is cruel and unnecessary and should be banned.
In Lancashire, we have been meeting the public throughout the summer and showing MPs the level of public support for a ban.
At our hugely successful anti-hunt petition-signing day in Clitheroe, we had people tell us they were against bloodsports and happily signed our petition, even though they are attending the Countryside Alliance march.
No wonder the single-issue Countryside Alliance hide behind real rural issues.
