MASKED robbers dragged a woman across a pub car park after she refused to let go of her briefcase and handbag.
The 59-year-old from Horwich was approached from behind outside the Red King pub in Bury New Road, Whitefield.
She had just emptied the fruit machine inside the pub when two men wearing balaclavas masks grabbed hold of her briefcase and bag as she walked to her car.
But defiantly she refused to release her grip -- and the robbers dragged her along the ground until she was forced to let go.
Eventually, they escaped with the briefcase and bag, which contained a small quantity of cash. No weapons were used.
Detectives are now appealing for information to the robbery which happened at 3.45pm on Friday. The women escaped unhurt. Det Con Tony Hough, of Whitefield CID, said: "The woman was left extremely shocked and shaken.
"The attack happened in broad daylight and someone in the surrounding area must have seen these two men running from the pub, either running down an adjacent street or possibly getting into a nearby car." Witnesses or anyone with information should contact Whitefield CID on 0161 856 8240 or Crimestoppers on free phone 0800 555 111.
