RESIDENTS at a sheltered housing complex were treated to traditional Lancashire fare at a coffee morning.
More than 50 people, including members of the public and residents from other homes, turned up to Darwen Abbeyfield Society, St Alban's Road, Darwen, to sample home-baked scones, raspberry buns, malt loaf and treacle tart, washed down with home-made sarsaparilla.
The annual event raised £230 for Abbeyfield funds, which may be used towards a Christmas knees-up for residents.
House manager Patsy Bellusci said: "It was smashing especially as the weather wasn't good.
"It helps the residents. It's a get-together for the old people. They reminisce."
