REGARDING your article (LET, October 4) on car parking for staff at Queen's Park Hospital, Blackburn.
I am an agency nurse working in hospitals over a radius of 30 miles from Manchester.
At Hope Hospital, in Salford, patients, visitors and student nurses pay a massive £10 per day for car parking of over four hours. It costs £1 for up to four hours.
People nearby have a heart attack when they realise that it costs so much to park longer.
Hope Hospital has a staff shortage and is it any wonder when they have to pay so much?
The nurses at Queen's Park should count themselves lucky that their car park is the cheapest of all the hospitals I have worked in.
The answer is for them to leave or just shut up and stop complaining.
