A BLACKBURN working men's club is helping two women raise money for the Magic Eye Appeal.
The Longshaw Unity Working Men's Club, in Bryan Street, has offered to host an evening of soul music.
The Northern Soul and Motown night has been organised by friends, Irene Neill and Margaret Idon, both of Prichard Street.
They held a soul night at the club last year to raise money for Neilcliffe Care Centre, in Warrington.
Irene said: "We started doing it last year because we've lost some friends to cancer. It was such a success that we said we'd do it again, this time for the Magic Eye appeal. We chose the soul night because they're popular.
"The night will be hosted by the same DJ, Vic Keough, and they will even be using the same tickets.
Margaret said: "We've used the same tickets as last year, with a few changes on so we can keep costs down and give as much to the appeal as possible." The soul night will be held on Friday, November 29, from 8pm.
Entrance is £2.50 by ticket or on the door and all proceeds will go to the East Lancashire Magic Eye Scanner Appeal.
