A FUN day for Blackburn residents and children was hailed as a runaway success.
The Party in the Marquee fun day at Griffin Park was organised by Sure Start for people to take the opportunity to find out about the organisation's work in the Mill Hill and Livesey area.
Competition winners were presented with their prizes at Mill Hill Community Centre by Coun Florence Oldfield.
Lucy Holderness, four, from Elm Gardens, won the name the teddy bear competition.
The winners of the colouring competition were Jessica Hunt, four, from Clyde Street in the under four section and Georgina Brown, aged six, of Hollin Street. Both girls received an art pack.
Coun Oldfield said: "Thanks go to everyone who helped and took part on the day to make it a great success and enable Sure Start workers to promote the service and its benefits to the community."
