A NEW partnership between a local bus operator and police in Pennine Division has been fixed up to increase public reassurance and reduce anti-social behaviour.
Burnley and Pendle Transport is offering free travel to police officers while on duty, including plain-clothed officers, special constables and traffic wardens.
The move will benefit both parties as well as the local community by increasing the number of police seen about the town.
Inspector Dave Shepherd from Pennine Division's Road Policing Unit set up the scheme.
