YOUTH is being given a fighting chance by Astley Rotary Club.
On October 31 at Lowton Civic Hall the club's youth development committee present a boxing dinner show with a programme of amateur bouts organised in conjunction with Tyldesley Centurions ABC.
Rotarian Derek Ratcliffe, who helps run the boxing club, promises an all-action evening with top boxers from throughout the north west.
Derek explained: "Part of our aim is to support the youth in our community and proceeds from the show will go to Tyldesley Centurions ABC who do a great job in giving youth a purpose and keeping them off the streets. The event is almost sold out."

Centurions train on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5.30pm at their gym at 5 Shuttle Street, Tyldesley and cater for boxers aged seven upwards.
