BAMBER Bridge need to prove next week to the Unibond League that they have adequate finances to complete their fixtures, or they could be suspended from the league.
The Friends of Bamber Bridge are trying to arrange finance to help the club. Those wishing to help should ring the club on 909690.
Brig beat Leek Town 1-0 on Saturday in a scrappy game in which defences dominated. Alex Porter scored the winner with a header in the first minute of the second half. The day was marred by some unpleasant scenes at the end of the match between the home fans and the Brig players. Brig had less luck on Tuesday night losing 2-1 at Farsley Celtic with their goal again coming from Alex Porter.
Workington Town visit Irongate in the league on Saturday and on Tuesday Brig visit lcoal rivals Chorley in the Unibond League Cup first round.
Meanwhile full-back Lee Pryers has left the club along with David Sutch. Better news is that Karl Hankinson has returned to the club and created the goal on Saturday.
