CHARITY walker, Steve Dayman, was back in Lancaster for the third time this week, as part of an epic walk around the UK.
Steve is raising money for meningitis research at the laboratory set up in memory of his late son, Spencer, set off from Dalton Square for the 23-mile hike to Preston.
His 24-day, 514-mile walk began on Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland, and in South Wales this month.
"I came here in 1994 and 1998 on Land's End to John O' Gaunt walks," said Steve: "And Lancaster probably hasn't seen the last of me.
I'll be back here before I retire.
"Over the next few days we will have more than 150 walkers at various stages who will be sponsored to walk with us.
We are also receiving support from rotary clubs, including Lancaster Rotary Club."
