A 23-YEAR-OLD Manchester man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with two high-value burglaries allegedly committed in July.
Christopher Cartwright, of Fenmore Avenue, Gorton, is charged with burglary at college premises in the Saturn Business Centre, Challenge Way, Blackburn, and theft of electrical and computer equipment worth £21,550.
He is also charged with burglary at North West Repro Ltd., Walton Summit, Preston, and theft of computer equipment worth £29,000.
He was directed to stand trial at Preston Crown Court and the case was adjourned until December 12 for the preparation of committal papers.
He was remanded on bail with a condition that he does not enter Lancashire.
