PADIHAM manager Graham Howarth looked on the bright side when he heard the news that Stand had resigned from the league.
The Storks have picked up four points from Stand this season and it is thought those points will now be deducted.
But Howarth said: "We did draw with them in one game so there's two points there we could have won but didn't so maybe it is not so bad."
Padiham, who are second in the league, travel to strugglers Oldham Town in the Division Two Trophy tomorrow without Dean Stowe, who has suffered a recurrence of his knee injury.
Striker Lee Chambers is back in training, though, and could return in the next few weeks.
Howarth said: "Their results have picked up recently. They haven't won a game, but they have stopped getting hammered seven or eight."
