STUDENTS at St Hilda's RC High School in Burnley have been learning the secrets of becoming a successful radio presenter and launched their own radio station -- Chix FM.
Over 18 weeks nine students at the school were shown the ropes by radio broadcaster David Blaxhall.
David's company, The Radio Surgery, specialise in training schools and colleges in the art of broadcasting.
After training, three mock radio programmes were produced, with a variety of guests, including the Mayor of Burnley, Councillor Gordon Birtwistle.
Head of drama at the school Helen Nolan said: "This exciting project enhanced our students in communication skills, confidence building and dexterity.
"Some of them may become household names in the future."
