A MAN found guilty of possessing ecstasy tablets at a Blackburn nightclub has been jailed for a total of 18 months.
Stewart Taylor, aged 23, of Newfield Drive, Blackburn had denied possession with intent to supply of 31 ecstasy tablets in October 2001, but was found guilty by a jury in a trial at Preston Crown court.
While on bail, he masqueraded as another man when stopped for disqualified driving, driving with excess alcohol and not having insurance.
He had admitted perverting the course of justice.
In addition to the 18-month jail sentence, Taylor was also disqualified from driving for three years.
Judge Christopher Cornwall told Taylor he had taken into account he was not a commercial supplier.
