PENDLE Hill -- the legendary home of the witches -- is expecting hundreds of visitors to flock to the area to celebrate Hallowe'en.

And the district will play host to three spooky events especially designed for kids.

The ghoulish gatherings will take place at Pendle Wavelengths, Nelson, Pendle Leisure Centre, Colne and West Craven Sports Centre, Barnoldswick.

Katy Mills, Pendle Leisure Trust's marketing manager, said: "There are certainly spooky goings on in Pendle this Hallowe'en.

"Rumours are rife that witches and wizards, ghosts and ghouls are plotting gruesome get-togethers involving loud music, dancing and ghastly games at Pendle's three swimming pools."

The Hallowe'en Splash events will take place at Pendle Leisure Centre on Wednesday, October 30, 7 to 9pm, Pendle Wavelengths on Thursday, October 31, between 6.30-9pm and at West Craven Sports Centre, between 6-8pm on Thursday 31.

Tickets, which can be used at any of the events, cost £1.75, or £2.00 on the night or are available from each of the three pools and the Leisure Trust Head Office, in Albert Road, Colne.

A special buy two get one free offer is available to anyone buying tickets in advance.
