CONFIDENCE could not be higher among the Clarets stars as they prepare for the long trek to Portman Road today.

And Ian Moore and Glen Little, two of the stars from Saturday's win at Leicester both admitted: "We can't wait."

The Clarets are going in search of a sixth straight victory that would put them level on points with fourth-placed Nottingham Forest and Moore admitted: "We won't go there with any fear.

"Ipswich are a good team and we know that they are in a false position at the moment. But the way things are they look a little bit unsettled while we are on a roll."

Moore's dad Ronnie was famously hoaxed by a caller claiming to be Ipswich chairman David Sheepshanks but the Rotherham manager is still in the frame for the Suffolk job.

"I feel a bit sorry for my dad the way it happened but that is history now, all that matters is getting a result," said the striker who got the winner at the Walkers Stadium at the weekend.

Moore has not always been in the starting line-up this season, but he said: "This is a great time to be in the team. We have gone 11 games unbeaten, we have big games coming up starting with Ipswich and we can't wait for the matches to come along."

Little echoed those sentiments and he cannot wait to play in another ground that is used to Premiership football.

"It was lovely to play at Leicester on Saturday and I am really looking forward to taking on Ipswich," he explained. "It was tough against Leicester and it will be tough again tonight.

"Before the two games we were thinking it would be great to win one from the two but now we can go for the double. We managed to get the ball down well against Leicester and that is what we want to do at Ipswich."

Competition for places in the starting line-up is growing as Stan Ternent gets more players back from injury.

Lee Briscoe got the nod in midfield alongside Steve Davis and Glen Little at the weekend but both Tony Grant and Paul Weller were on the bench and came on in the closing minutes.

But given the success the Clarets enjoyed by employing a three man strike-force at Leicester on Saturday it would seem likely that he will again unleash the attacking talents of Robbie Blake, Gareth Taylor and Moore on an opposition that is very low on confidence.

Moore admitted after scoring the winner at Leicester that he is relishing the chance to play in a front three.

Despite the fact the home side has struggled in recent weeks, the side that was favourites for promotion at the start of the season will be a tough test for the Clarets but, as Moore said, at the moment they fear no one.
