THREE more men have appeared in court charged in connection with an incident in which a teenager was impaled on his car seat with a sword.

Blackburn magistrates were told there was a suggestion that a gun had also been produced during an altercation involving two gangs in Albert Place, Lower Darwen, on Saturday week.

Ryan Hoole, 18, of Woodlands Place, Lower Darwen, Mark Scott, 20, of Whitely Avenue, Blackburn, and Ashley Stanton, 18, of Greenside Avenue, Blackburn, were all remanded on bail, Hoole until November 1 and the other two until November 4.

Keiron Anthony Holmes, 19, of Greenside Avenue, Blackburn was previously remanded on bail until October 31 charged with violent disorder.

James Hacking, 22, and Craig Newton, 20, both of Swan Farm Close, Lower Darwen, had previously appeared in court charged with violent disorder.

Hacking was also charged with wounding Christopher Shackleton with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm. They were both sent on bail to Preston Crown Court for trial.
