YOUNG film fans who fancy their chances at braving the dark are being invited to take a seat for a 12-hour Hallowe'en movie marathon.
Burnley 'Beat Bobby' PC Linda Haywood, who looks after the Rosegrove area, has organised the sponsored 'filmathon' in partnership with Burnley Community Warden scheme, Joined up Thinking and the Rosegrove Action Group, to raise money for community events.
She is looking for people between 11 and 17-years-old to take part in the fright night at the Sycamore Play Centre on Sycamore Avenue, Burnley, on Saturday from 9pm..
PC Haywood said: "The police and other local groups would like to organise more activities for local youngsters but don't have the necessary funds. With this in mind, we decided on this fundraising event".
Anyone interested in taking part should have the consent of parents or guardian. Leave a message for PC Haywood on 01282 472978.
