ENGLAND scrum-half and former Stonyhurst pupil Kyran Bracken went back to his old stomping ground to meet up with some of the players who have been in stunning form this season.
Stonyhurst College is celebrating an outstanding start to the rugby season having won 40 out of 41 matches up to half term -- with the eight teams scoring a combined total of 2,036 points and conceding just 204 points.
Bracken, a former pupil who left in 1990, chatted to pupils about their fantastic results this season and also met with pupils who attend St Mary's, the lower school.
Head of Games, Simon Charles, said: "It has been an outstanding start to the season throughout the age groups. Both pupils and coaching staff have continued to give their best in pursuit of excellence."
The Under 16 A side recorded the most emphatic victories with successive 102-0 wins against Merchant Taylors and Audenshaw. The First XV clinched impressive wins against King William College 60-0 and Rydal 46-10 while the Under 15s A team beat King William College 84-0. Other notable results saw the Under 14s 'A' beat Mount St Mary's 73-0 while the Second XVs beat the same school by the same score. And the U14 B defeated QEGS A 63-0.
