I WOULD like to thank you very much for printing the article about my blind son Graham Jones, who was made homeless after being the victim of a stabbing attack (LET, October 5) and the trouble you went to.
The previous afternoon he was contacted by Social Services who told him they had put him on the priority list, for being rehoused and that he would remain in that position for 28 weeks -- but your article hadn't appeared then.
As you also reported (LET, October 8) my son has now been offered a flat near me by the housing association, SPACE.
I have only the Lancashire Evening Telegraph to thank for this.
God bless you all for making an old lady very happy -- and a son who needed help badly.
M PEAKE (Mrs), Brookhouse Lane, Blackburn.
