APPARENTLY me and Arthur have been stars of the latest fight night on Sky TV.
I have heard that there have been pictures of him giving me a clip as we walked off at half time against Ipswich.
Flipping heck, I put the corner in for his goal, what more does he want from me!
Seriously though, it was just one of those things and I think it was a case of I was the nearest player to him so he had a go at me.
We all know Arthur, how passionate he can be, and he got a bit excited but I was more worried about myself and the calf injury.
I saw he was ranting and raving and to be fair he was doing it in English but I still wondered what he was shouting about.
Then he shoved me in the neck but there was no way I was going to do anything about it, have you seen the size of him?
He is much bigger than me.
But after the match he got on to the coach and gave me a cuddle and, to be honest, if no one had mentioned it I would have forgotten all about it. It really was just one of those things that happens in football. And I will not be getting him in the dock like Trevor Francis after his brush with Kolinko.
Arthur is a great character and popular with the players and the fans and if he can keep chipping in with a few more goals, that popularity will only grow.
He and the rest of us will have to be at our best on Saturday when the leaders Portsmouth are at Turf.
They are in the same position as we were last season, they have set the pace by winning games and scoring lots of goals.
Confidence will be high, it should be when you are top of the league, but ours is very high as well. We will all have to keep an eye on Paul Merson who has apparently been on fire this season but they have got a number of good players.
And they have shown their ambition by adding Steve Stone to the squad this week and he could be making his debut against us.
I am still aiming to be fit to play and hopefully the only reason Arthur will have to hit me is to slap me on the back when I have scored. Who knows, I might get another cuddle!
