FROM the doghouse to the Grand Ole Oprey, Charlie Landsborough has certainly come a long way.
This singer/songwriter first came to prominence in 1995 when his song 'What Colour is The Wind' took the Irish charts by storm and, virtually overnight, transformed him into something of a household name.
The song marked the beginning of a new chapter in Charlie's life. It's seen him playing all over the world, becoming one of the all-time biggest selling artists in Irish music history, performing at Nashville's Grand Ole Oprey to a full house, unprecedented for a UK artist.
Notching up chart successes, awards and songwriting credits for the likes of Daniel O'Donnell, but having spent the previous 23 years playing in the same pub for £1, no-one can say he hasn't paid his dues.
Charlie is setting off on a 37-date tour arriving at Preston Guild Hall Sunday December 1. For bookings call 258858.
