PUPILS at Oakhill College, Whalley, strode the corridors of power when they took part in a citizenship workshop at the Ribble Valley Town Hall, Clitheroe.
The workshop, attended by Year 11 pupils and college principal Philip Mahon, was led by Ribble Valley Council policy officer Bill Alker, as well as representatives of the Lancashire Youth and Community Service and Clitheroe Police.
The pupils debated case studies regarding the misuse of derelict land, the problem of youngsters playing football in prohibited areas and the proposed provision of a skateboard facility. Ribble Valley Mayor Joyce Holgate then gave the pupils a tour of the town hall.
